Bombers add two imports to roster

WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed import defensive back Gabe Loper and import linebacker Kenny Tate.

Loper played at South Alabama, and in 2011 and 2012 racked up 52 tackles with three interceptions, with three broken-up passes. He also played some wide receiver in 2013 with South Alabama.

Tate went to Maryland and had an excellent five-year career, playing a variety of positions on defence and becoming a first-team all-ACC selection.

Tate played in two Bowl games during his tenure – the 2008 Humanitarian Bowl, and the 2010 Military Bowl.
