SASKATOON – Winter storm and snowfall warnings have been issued for parts of northern Saskatchewan.

Environment Canada says 15 to 25 centimetres of snow is expected in part of the far north by Wednesday evening as an intense winter storm is expected to develop on Tuesday evening near Great Slave Lake.

Snow is expected to start overnight and as the storm track southeast, a strong cold front will move through the area with wind gusts up to 80 km/h, creating low visibility in blowing snow.
