TORONTO — Canadian band Arcade Fire is one of the acts headlining the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California this April.
The Montreal ensemble previously headlined the festival in 2011 and performed in 2005 and 2007.
Arcade Fire is touring in support of last year’s acclaimed album Reflektor. The band plays March 13 in Toronto and March 14 in Ottawa followed by August dates in Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg.

The tour wraps up Aug. 29 in Toronto and Aug. 30 in Montreal.
Arcade Fire is also scheduled to headline this summer’s Glastonbury Festival.
This year’s Coachella line-up includes Canada’s City and Colour.
Canadian acts at Coachella in the past include Tegan and Sara, Leonard Cohen, deadmau5, Metric, The Weeknd and Rufus Wainwright.
The other headliners for 2014 are a reunited OutKast — they have not released an album since 2006 — and British rock act Muse.
Pharrell Williams, Beck,Pet Shop Boys and Queens of the Stone Age and Lorde will also be part of Coachella, which runs over two weekends in Indio and attracts dozens of celebrities.
