ELSIPOGTOG, N.B. – Police in New Brunswick have arrested a third person involved in an alleged confrontation with journalists during a shale gas protest in Rexton three months ago.
The RCMP say a 34-year-old woman has been released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Elsipogtog court on Feb. 26.

Three journalists and two technicians from three news outlets, including Global News, were reporting in Rexton and taking footage of the wreckage of several RCMP vehicles destroyed by fire during the protest on Oct. 19.
The news crews complained they had been threatened and forced to leave their equipment and media vehicles at the protest site.
A 24-year old man and a 36-year-old woman have also been arrested in connection with the incident.
The man faces several charges, including three counts of mischief, five counts of intimidation and one count of uttering threats to damage a journalist’s equipment.
