HAMILTON, Ont. – Hamilton police have arrested a 43-year-old woman accused of fatally stabbing another woman in a brawl on Saturday night.
The incident took place around 8:30 p.m. in an apartment complex on MacNab Street North, near Burlington Street West.
Police say two men were fighting when the two women joined in.
It’s alleged the accused hit one of the men several times with a bat, then pulled out a knife and stabbed the other woman.
Paramedics took the 56-year-old stabbing victim to hospital, where she died.
A 49-year-old man was treated in hospital for minor injuries and released.
Police say the accused will be charged with second-degree murder and assault with a weapon.
