Winnipeg police are investigating a fatal collision on Wellington Crescent near Cockburn Street North involving a cyclist Thursday morning.
Police said first responders arrived at the site of the crash around 7 a.m.
Both the 61-year-old cyclist and driver were travelling eastbound officers said, adding that an investigation has determined the collision was a hit-and-run.

Police say the cyclist was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he died.
The victim’s family has been notified, authorities said, and a suspect vehicle has been recovered.
Due to the crash, Wellington was temporarily closed between Dorchester Avenue and Hugo Street.
