More dates are expected to be added to the tour.
Kissel is nominated for Male Artist of the Year and Rising Star at the Association of Country Music in Alberta Awards, which will be handed out Jan. 25 in Red Deer.
A native of Flat Lake, Alberta, Kissel released four independent albums and, in 2006, earned a Rising Star nomination at the Canadian Country Music Association Awards. The 23-year-old released his major label debut Started With a Song in October.
The second single, “Raise Your Glass,” is a Top 10 hit on Canadian country radio.
Kissel will feel right at home touring across Canada.
“I was out from an early age playing at rodeos,” he told Global News in October. “When I was 14 and 15, I was doing 100 shows a year.”
On The Young Guns tour, Kissel is offering fans a VIP experience that includes a meet and greet, soundcheck attendance and an autographed poster.
