1 in life-threatening condition after stabbing in Calgary’s Beltline neighbourhood

One man is in life-threatening condition after a stabbing in Calgary’s Beltline neighbourhood on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a Calgary Police Service news release, two groups of people were fighting which resulted in a stabbing at the 1900 block of Fourth Street Southwest at around 3:30 p.m. The injured man was found nearby and transported to hospital, where he remains in serious condition. All the suspects fled before police arrived, CPS said.

Police are looking for four people believed to be involved in the incident:

  • A man described by witnesses to be between 18 to 20 years old, wearing skinny blue jeans with a red bandana in the back pocket and white high-top runners
  • A woman descried as looking between 18 to 20 years old with long, blond hair
  • A man and a woman who are older than the previous two

No suspect photos were released.

Anyone with CCTV or information about the incident are asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers.
