Calgary police say a shooting in Sunalta Monday night was targeted.

Officers were initially called to the area after people reported hearing gunshots being fired.

No injuries were reported but police told Global News that officers found a bullet hole in the window of a building occupied by Two House Brewing Company.

“Although the investigation remains in the early stages, we can confirm that this was a targeted incident,” police said in a news release Tuesday. “Investigators have reviewed CCTV and have interviewed witnesses. However, we continue to ask individuals who have yet to speak with police to come forward.”

Police said officers were called to 18th Street and 10th Avenue Southwest just after 10 p.m. They said investigators believe the shots were fired as a result of a “confrontation” involving two people.

“The level of violence and blatant disregard for public safety displayed during this incident will not be tolerated,” said Staff Sgt. Kurt Jacobs, with the Calgary Police Service.“While this incident was targeted, the safety of innocent bystanders was put at risk on Monday, and we know many Calgarians are also alarmed.”

As of Tuesday afternoon, no arrests had been made but police said they have a person of interest they are looking for.
