Members of the Regina Fire and Protective Services (RFPS) are on scene as a large blaze fills the sky with black smoke north of the city.
Traffic is closed in both directions on Pasqua Street North, near Wheat City Metals.
“After first arriving on scene, Fire Marshal Randy Ryba had initial concerns regarding the situation. However, crews secured a water source, and the fire is contained and in full control,” a statement read.
“Regina Fire & Protective Services assures residents there is no threat to the surrounding area and air quality is being monitored.”
The RFPS stated that further updates will be provided, as necessary.
