Police believe the mini-van driver disobeyed the traffic signal and collided with the semi that was making a turn.

The driver of the van, a 32-year-old man, was taken to hospital with what police believe to be non-life threatening injuries.

Traffic was restricted while the scene was cleared.

Police continue to investigate and say charges may be pending under the Traffic Safety Act.
