Man assaulted in downtown Guelph: police

Guelph police say one person has a serious head injury following an assault in the downtown.

Police said they were called to MacDonnell Street near the west parkade on Sunday night.

Investigators said a man in his 50s was assaulted by several young people and was taken to hospital.

Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen the incident.
