CALGARY – Investigators are asking for anyone who may have pictures or video of a deadly downtown stabbing last month to contact them.

18-year-old Lukas Strasser-Hird was killed in a violent altercation between two groups in a Beltline alley on Saturday, November 23, 2013.

Strasser-Hird and his friends had become involved in a flight outside Vinyl nightclub just before his death. Bar staff separated the two groups, ushering Strasser-Hird and his associates to the back door to let them leave safely.

However, the two groups met again in the alley, sparking a second fight.

Police found Strasser-Hird suffering from life-threatening injuries in the 200 block of 10 Avenue S.W. around 2:45 a.m. He was rushed to hospital where he later died.
