Those in Regina woke up to a fresh blanket of snow on the ground on Tuesday morning and with snow comes icy road conditions.
As of 4:30 p.m., the Regina Police Service (RPS) has been dispatched to twelve reported collisions since 4 a.m. Tuesday.
“Three of those collisions resulted in property damage with no injuries,” police stated.
The RPS stated that one collision resulted in minor injuries just before 6 a.m. at 9th Avenue North and McCarthy Boulevard.

Tuesday morning, the Saskatchewan RCMP responded to a multi-vehicle collision that involved two semis on Highway #10, east of Fort Qu’Appelle. The highway was completely blocked off with one semi jack-knifed across the road RCMP said.
As of 2 p.m., Highway #10 has been re-opened, and no injuries have been reported.
The westbound lanes of Highway #1 near Belle Plaine were closed due to multiple semis hitting guardrails, and detours were in place.
RCMP said Highway #1 near Belle Plaine was reponed around 1:20.
RCMP said no injuries have been reported to police.
According to the Saskatchewan Highway Hotline, most of the central and southern highways in the province are categorized as “winter conditions exist.”
Officials are encouraging motorists to check the highway hotline for the most up-to-date highway conditions.
