Covenant Foundation is thrilled to continue to transform health care in Lethbridge. By participating in the Harvest Moon Ball Silent Auction, presented in honour of Cor Van Raay, you’re directly impacting patients, residents, their families and care teams in your community.
All proceeds raised will stay in Lethbridge to benefit Covenant Health’s St. Michael’s Health Centre & St. Therese Villa. Bidding will be open from October 12-26 at www.givergy.ca/harvestmoonball
About the Facilities
St. Michael’s Health Centre has long been a cornerstone in Lethbridge, dating back to 1929 when it first operated as the St. Michael’s General Hospital. Today, as part of the Covenant family, St. Michael’s Health Centre continues to serve the community by providing palliative care, post-acute rehabilitation services, long-term care, complex long-term care, community support beds and supportive living for those living with dementia or other complex health needs. St. Therese Villa is a supportive living facility serving more than 200 residents from Lethbridge and surrounding communities. It is a multicultural facility designed to meet and support resident wellness and independence while providing quality care in a supportive and caring environment.
Presented and in Honour of Cor Van Raay
It is with great sadness when The Covenant Foundation learned of the passing of agricultural innovator, entrepreneur and philanthropist Cor Van Raay, who died peacefully on July 29, 2021, at the age of 85, with family by his side.
In conversation with Cor’s family, the Harvest Moon Ball Silent Auction in October will be presented in honour of Cor Van Raay.
Cor was a longtime supporter of the foundation as the presenting sponsor of the Harvest Moon Ball in Lethbridge. His generosity has left an incredible legacy for his southern Alberta and Saskatchewan communities. For Covenant Health residents, their families and care teams at St. Michael’s Health Centre and St. Therese Villa, Cor’s impact continues to help transform health care in the area.
