You have a manuscript that is nearly there. You are so close and have worked so hard to get it all down but don’t know if it is ready for publication. In some cases, you simply don’t know how to take it to that next level and your friends and writing group have taken you as far as they can with their generosity as your first readers. Now you may need a substantive editor to dig more deeply into the entire manuscript, someone to walk with you as you retrace your steps and complete the final revisions.
