RCMP have released a composite sketch of the suspect they believe is responsible for a string of sexual assaults at the University of British Columbia.
Sgt. Peter Thiessen from the Lower Mainland District RCMP said in a press conference Tuesday afternoon investigators have been working with the victims and witnesses to put together the composite sketch.
The suspect is a Caucasian male with a slightly darker or olive skin tone, possibly tanned, in his mid to late 20’s or even early 30’s, with a thin build, somewhere in the range o f5’8 to 6’2 tall, with a long, rounder chin and face with a straight nose, broad forehead and short dark hair, wearing a hoodie.

As of Wednesday morning, investigators have received 57 tips, from all over B.C. and Canada.
Thieseen says they are following up on each and every tip as quickly as they can.

“This is the man we need to get into custody,” says Thiessen. “Somebody knows who this person is.”
They are asking residents and businesses in the UBC area to put up copies of the poster to maximize public outreach. The university has said efforts were being made to distribute the composite sketch across the campus via UBC’s Stay Safe web site, mass e-mail, and throughout student residences and other campus buildings.
Police continue to urge people using the campus to remain extra vigilant of their surroundings. Security and policing have also been stepped up on the campus in the wake of the assaults.
