Whitecaps reportedly fire head coach Martin Rennie

One day after their MLS season ended, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC have reportedly fired head coach Martin Rennie.

The Whitecaps have not confirmed the reports, but are expected to make an announcement tomorrow.

Rennie became the Whitecaps coach on November 3, 2011, and Vancouver to the playoffs in 2012 – the first Canadian team ever to make the MLS playoffs.

But they took a step back this season, finishing 13-12-9 on the season and three points out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
