TORONTO – Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault early Thursday in downtown Toronto.
A 25-year-old woman told police she was walking north on Spadina near College Street at about 1:30 a.m. when the incident occurred.
Police say the victim noticed someone following her, so she moved to the side to allow the man to pass.
That is when police say the man sexually assaulted her.
The suspect is described as black, about 20 years old and standing 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 with a medium build.
Police say he was wearing a dark black or navy blue hooded sweater, light blue shorts with white trim and white Nike running shoes.
