CALGARY – A 32-year-old Hinton man has died after a workplace accident near the central Alberta town.
The man was working as part of a pipeline crew at a gas plant on Tuesday, when he was struck by a large piece of pipe.

Although STARS air ambulance was dispatched to the scene, he succumbed to his injuries before he could be transported to hospital.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, but officials say his death is not considered suspicious.
The name of the deceased is not being released.
RCMP and Occupational Health and Safety are investigating.
Hinton is located about three hours west of Edmonton.
