Fall officially begins this Friday and Global News meteorologist Kasia Bodurka says it’s time to get out your umbrellas.
Bodurka said meteorologists are “tracking what’s being called the first significant fall storm this season.”
“The rain moves in Sunday morning,” said Bodurka.
“Five to 15 millimetres of rain are expected through the day through the Metro Vancouver area, with gusty conditions through the afternoon, south-easterlies.”
Eventually, these winds will shift to north-westerlies, bringing cooler temperatures.
“An upper trough follows this storm, so that’s going to change the weather pattern that we’ve been enjoying for the past few days …or the past few months, because this is going to be ushering in cooler conditions, a lot of instability.”
She said this could result in potential thunderstorms for the next few days.
