Officers said it was being driven in a suspicious manner and they attempted to pull it over.

The driver refused to stop and drove off in a dangerous manner, according to the officers.

The air support unit was called in and aided the officers on the ground, who were able to successfully deploy a tire deflation device.

The van was abandoned on Dalmeny Road and three people took off on foot and attempted to hide in a field.
