Halifax Regional Police arrested a 29-year-old man on Tuesday night in an outstanding assault case.
Police arrested the man in the 0-100 block of Jacobs Lane at approximately 6:00 p.m.

During the arrest, officers say they found and seized a quantity of marijuana as well as a loaded gun.
The man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court later today.
