The police’s investigation found that Newcombe had just left Winston’s bar when he was shot in the parking lot. The shooter reportedly fled through a walkway towards Willet Street where he was picked up by a vehicle.

Police believe that Newcombe was the intended target of the shooting and that it wasn’t a random incident.
