If you use City of Toronto-issued parking permit stickers, there’s a chance your renewal permit will be delayed.
Interim paper permits were recently mailed to approximately 22,000 Toronto residents asking vehicle owners to cut out and display the permits on the driver’s side of the windshield.
Vince Loffredi, right-of-way management supervisor with the City of Toronto’s transportation services department, said the delay in issuing the official permits is due to an ordering issue with the manufacturer. City staff haven’t received the renewal permit stocks.
He said the permit stock should be delivered to city staff by mid-December and residents should receive the proper permits by late December or early January.
