Halifax police are investigating the alleged assault of a nine-year-old boy that occurred in Bedford Wednesday.
Police said they responded to a complaint at 2:30 p.m. in the area of Fairwinds Place. Police said the boy told them an unknown man approached him as he was walking alone in the area. The boy said they spoke for a short time, before the man grabbed his arm, resulting in a struggle. The boy broke free and ran home.
Police said in a release the boy was not injured, but “shaken.”
The suspect is described as a 6-foot-2 man with average build, dark complexion and straight black hair. He was wearing a black and grey baseball hat backwards, a red, grey and black hoodie and high top red and yellow sneakers.
