Two people from northwest of Edmonton are facing theft and trafficking charges after a large amount of drugs and stolen property were seized from a rural home.

Last Thursday, Nov. 3, members of the Spruce Grove/Stony Plain RCMP’s serious crimes unit, along with officers from Morinville RCMP, executed a drug search warrant at a rural residence near Bon Accord.

During the search police found large quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine and GHB. Police said the street value of the drugs is estimated at $262,000. A stolen handgun and other weapons such as tasers, brass knuckles and crossbows were found as well.

Police also found a large amount of stolen items while at the property, so they obtained a second search warrant that allowed them to seize items.
