Search continues for missing boater on Lac Saint-Louis

Divers with the Sûreté du Québec were back on the shores of Lac Saint-Louis Sunday morning to resume searching for a missing boater.

The 38-year-old man, who was on a small boat with three other people, fell overboard in the overnight hours of Friday to Saturday.

Two of the boaters were treated in hospital for hypothermia, while the third was treated for shock.

The search area extends from Châteauguay to Pointe-Claire.

The current water temperature in the lake is 18 degrees Celsius. According to experts, a person could survive for approximately 12 hours in the water under those conditions, depending on their size.
