Body found in Lac Saint-Louis

Montreal police were called to the Beaconsfield Yacht Club around 4:40 p.m. Friday after a body was found floating in Lac Saint-Louis.

Const. André Leclerc from the SPVM said that the body has since been retrieved from the water and is undergoing the identification process.

This comes two days after police ended the search for a 40 year old sailor who went missing in the same area.

“It looks like we’re dealing with the missing person from July 19th, but an autopsy will be done and that will confirm the identity and the cause,” André Leclerc of the SPVM told Global News Friday.

The family of the missing sailor from earlier in the week has been notified of the latest developments.
