Hollywood director, actor and producer Rob Reiner has had enough of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Reiner, a political activist who has previously been critical of Trump on social media and on TV talk shows, said he’d reached his limit on Tuesday when Trump made comments about the Second Amendment, calling it “scary stuff.”

Speaking at a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina on Tuesday, Trump said “the Second Amendment” may be the only way to stop Hillary Clinton from getting to appoint federal judges if she wins the presidential election in November.

“Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the Second Amendment,” Trump said. “By the way, and if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know. But I’ll tell you what, that will be a horrible day.”

The Second Amendment gives American citizens the right to bear arms under the U.S. Constitution.

Reiner was initially incredulous at Trump’s Second Amendment comments.

“There are so many horrific things that he says that you become numb to it and think you can’t be shocked anymore, and then he says something like this,” Reiner told The Hollywood Reporter. “And even if he says he was joking, like he did about asking the Russians to hack into Mrs. Clinton’s emails, this is really not — because here is the problem, he has got some very violent people who follow him. He’s got all these neo-Nazi groups and white supremacist groups and they’re capable of doing all kinds of things.”

Trump later said the comments weren’t meant to be harmful, and the media misinterpreted them.

“We’re talking about somebody’s life here,” said Reiner. “And it’s not as though there haven’t been political assassinations in our country, there have been. So you have to say that this is the kind of thing that disqualifies him.”

“And people just accept that that’s who this guy is,” he continued. “And I call upon responsible leaders in his party to say, ‘Enough already. It’s enough. Where’s the decency? I don’t care if you disagree with someone’s politics, but there’s a certain sense of decency towards other human beings, and he just doesn’t show any. He is a dangerous person. He is a very, very dangerous person. And he only cares about himself, and he is willing to hurt other people to benefit himself.”

Reiner worries about Trump’s “angry mob” support base, and says there’s no room in American politics for a candidate like Trump.
