Hundreds of Calgarians packed tourist destinations and attractions throughout the city on Monday to celebrate Heritage Day.
At Heritage Park, children learned about Canada’s rich history and took spins on the antique midway. Patrons were treated to a free pancake breakfast, a scavenger hunt and line dancing.
At Fort Calgary, visitors listened to musicians and participated in painting sessions.
Meanwhile, dozens of others headed to Olympic Plaza for the Calgary Folk Arts Council’s Heritage Day Festival featuring concerts, a children’s play area and crafts.
