TORONTO – The Toronto Blue Jays have reinstated first baseman Chris Colabello off the restricted list and designated him off their 25-man roster.

The move, announced before Saturday’s game against the Seattle Mariners, keeps Colabello on the team’s 40-man roster.

Colabello received an 80-game suspension back in April after testing positive for the anabolic steroid dehydrochlormethyltestosterone (DHCMT).

The suspension ended on Saturday, making him eligible to return to the major leagues. He will be ineligible for the Blue Jays’ potential playoff roster.

Colabello has been with triple-A Buffalo since July 18, where’s he batted .158 through five games.
