RCMP officers are investigating a series of events that included a carjacking in Surrey this morning.
The first incident happened when an RCMP officer pulled over a suspicious vehicle during a traffic stop at about 10:30 a.m. The suspect driving the car then fled from police and hit another occupied vehicle. Leaving his vehicle behind the male suspect ran up to the car he just struck, assaulted the female driver and fled in the victim’s car, heading westbound on 88th Avenue.
The victim was left at the scene of the carjacking and did not have any injuries.
Police later found the victim’s stolen car in the 11400-block of 137th Street but they have not located the suspect.
The suspect is described as a South Asian man, 25 to 30 years of age, wearing black clothing and he may have a black and white pit bull with him.
