Firefighters from three stations responded and arrived to find smoke in the building.

According to a Saskatoon Fire Department official, the initial attack of the fire in the basement was slowed by the confined environment of the space.

It took almost three hours for firefighters to put out the fire. No injuries were reported.

Damage is estimated at $225,000. A fire investigator said the cause of the blaze is undetermined.
