Three face charges after shooting in Clareville, New Brunswick

Police have arrested three people between the ages of 18 and 44 in connection with a shooting that happened in Clareville, N.B., last week.

RCMP officers were called to the Adamsville area at about 2 a.m. on April 21 after getting a 911 call about someone being shot.

After investigating further, police determined the person had been shot earlier in the night at a home in Clareville.

Frank Hannay, 44, has been charged with breach of probation and four counts of breaching a court order by owning a weapon.

Emma Lirette, 18, has been charged with obstruction, breach of probation and failing to follow a court sentence.

Jamie Melanson, 21, faces charges of careless use of a firearm, assault with a weapon and pointing a firearm.

All three have been remanded into custody. RCMP say it’s possible they may lay more charges.
