Police have one man in custody after a traffic stop led officers to the discovery of two bodies at a Barrie, Ont. home early Tuesday morning.

Barrie police say a vehicle was seen parked around 2 a.m. by an Ontario Provincial Police officer on Highway 26 in Springwater Township with its four-way flashers on.

Authorities say the male driver took off after the officer attempted to speak with him.

A police pursuit ensued on eastbound Highway 26 to southbound Highway 27 in Barrie that was later called off due to safety concerns.

Police say a background check on the driver’s address led police to a home where they located two deceased males.

Investigators say a third man who lived at the location was found by police in Shanty Bay and arrested.
