CALGARY – A Calgary dayhome operator’s husband denied allegations of sexual abuse in court Friday.

Christopher Colborne, who is accused of sexually abusing a child at his wife’s dayhome in 2014, testified in his own defence. He told court he never exposed himself to the four-year-old girl, and never asked her to touch him.

The child previously told her mother she was asked to fondle Colborne while at the private dayhome in Coventry Hill. The young girl, who is now five years old, told police in a videotaped interview that Colborne told her, “don’t tell Kim” (his wife’s name).

The girl said Colborne told her, “here it’s a toy.’ …I touched his penis.”
