Woman dies days after car collides with tractor-trailer in northeast Toronto

TORONTO — Police say a 36-year-old woman has died in hospital days after a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in northeast Toronto.

Investigators say the woman’s car collided with a tractor-trailer when she was trying to make a left turn at Steeles Avenue East and Pharmacy Avenue on Thursday morning.

Her car went on to hit a light standard.

She was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition, and police said Monday she died from her injuries on Saturday.

Her name has not been released. Police say a 59-year-old man was driving the tractor-trailer.

Const. Clint Stibbe said only that the investigation is ongoing.
