WATCH: Manitoba Moose end disappointing home stand with another loss

WINNIPEG – The Manitoba Moose are still searching for their first win after they closed out their four game home stand with a 2-0 loss to the Lake Erie Monsters on Saturday at MTS Centre.

The Moose scored just two goals in their four games at home as they saw their record fall to 0-4-2.

“It’s frustrating.” Josh Morrissey said. “Obviously anytime you lose more than one in a row its frustrating. But we can’t allow ourselves to get frustrated. I think any energy you have to put in the right direction.”

Early in the season the Moose have had trouble generating offensive chances but on Saturday they out shot the Monsters in the second period.  A small positive to what otherwise has been a disappointing start to the Moose season.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

“Getting chances today it’s just a matter of bearing down.” J.C. Lipon said. “Once you get one, you kinda get rolling but ya it’s definitely a struggle.”

The Monsters out shot the Moose 32-29 as Eric Comrie made 30 saves in goal for Manitoba.

“We’re trying to do our best right now.” Comrie said. “We’re trying to go out there and get some wins. Unfortunately they aren’t not coming. But we’re building. I think tonight was a huge stepping stone for our team and we got to build off it for practice next week and go out there and just do the best we can.”

The Moose will start a five game road trip on Thursday in Milwaukee against the Admirals.
