MONTREAL – A 21-year-old man is in hospital after a stabbing early Saturday morning.
Police received a 911 call at around 3:35 a.m. concerning a wounded man at the intersection of Mont-Royal Avenue and St-Urbain Street.
Police spokesperson Manuel Couture told Global News that apparently a fight broke out between two groups.
During the altercation the victim was stabbed with a sharp object. He was transported to hospital with wounds to his upper and lower body.
The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival. No arrests have been made.
The victim remains in hospital but police do not fear for his life.
