MONTREAL – The thunder and lightning storms have left one man in hospital fighting for his life Monday night.
It happened at 6:15 p.m.
Montreal police said a 32-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by lightning.
“That’s according to witnesses,” said Jean-Pierre Brabant, Montreal police spokesperson.
“From there, Urgence-Santé was called and they left with the man. So far, I have no updates on his situation.”
Emergency crews found the man unconscious at the corner of Jeanne-D’Arc Avenue and Saint-Joseph Boulevard East in Rosemont.
The man appeared to have been struck in the head and had burn marks on his body when he reached the hospital.
