SASKATOON – Three people are facing numerous charges after a string of break and enters. Saskatoon police say 26 businesses were broken into between March 2 and May 19.

Investigators said the thieves usually gained entry to the businesses by smashing windows or glass doors. They then made off with cash or safes.

A getaway vehicle was identified and police believed stolen plates were being placed on the vehicle before each break and enter.

On Wednesday evening, officers stopped the vehicle and arrested a man and woman. Police say the vehicle had stolen plates and stolen property was found inside.
