REGINA – A Swift Current man is facing multiple charges after an alleged incident of assault and unlawful confinement in Moose Jaw on Monday.
Police say a woman came to the Moose Jaw police station on Monday to report that her boyfriend had assaulted her and forcefully confined her inside her home for several hours.
The woman reportedly tried to escape several times, but was continually thrown to the ground and at one point was dragged back into her home.
Investigators went to the home to arrest the man, at which point he assaulted one of the officers.
Grant Scott Sherring of Swift Current has been charged with one count of unlawful confinement, one count of spousal assault, and one count of assaulting a police officer.
