WINNIPEG – A person was rushed to hospital in critical condition Wednesday morning and police shut down a downtown street to investigate.
The female – police won’t say whether it was a woman or girl – was taken to hospital after police were flagged down at Hargrave Street and Graham Avenue at about 4:50 a.m.

Hargrave Street remained closed to traffic and pedestrians between St. Mary and Graham avenues at noon.
The victim remains in hospital in critical condition.
Members of the Winnipeg Police Service homicide unit are investigating near the CityPlace parkade. Police are looking for witnesses, they said.
