REGINA – A possible drug deal gone bad has landed three people in handcuffs.

Police were called to the 100 block of Brotherton Avenue where a 18-year-old and a 19-year-old arrived at a parking lot on Brotherton Avenue for a pre-arranged meeting with the suspects. Police believe the meeting was to buy drugs.

It’s alleged, however, that the suspects threatened the victims with knives and demanded money. The suspects fled in a red Buick and the victims initially followed, but then called police instead.

Police spotted the suspects’ vehicle at a service station on the 1900 block of Fleet Street, carried out a high-risk vehicle stop, and arrested the three men inside.

A 17-year-old (who cannot be named) was charged with Armed Robbery and will make his first court appearance in Youth Court on Monday afternoon.
