UPDATED: The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of the man who died following a snowboarding incident on Whistler Mountain on Feb. 17. Jaisal Chauhan, 30, from Waterloo, Ont. was with a group of friends when he went missing.

Patrol located the 29-year-old man from Ontario inbounds.

He was reported missing by his friends and members of their group around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. Police attempted to ping the missing man’s cell phone and then Whistler Search and Rescue and ski patrol initiated a ground and air search.

The man’s body was found this morning in a forested area in the Harmony Bowl and according to RCMP, he died of his injuries.
