Two charged after man doused in gas, home set ablaze

REGINA – Two people have been charged in connection with a disturbing home invasion Friday.

Police allege two men broke into a Regina home on Ottawa Place, assaulted a 21-year old man, poured gasoline on him and then set the house on fire. The man escaped the burning house and was assaulted by a woman. He suffered minor injuries.

The three suspects drove off with another unidentified woman.

34-year old Calvin George Turcsanyi has now been charged with break and enter and 36-year old Crystal Nash has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of cocaine and methamphetamine.

The investigation is ongoing.
