SAULTEAUX FIRST NATION, Sask. – Two men are recovering in a Saskatoon hospital and two others have been charged following a home invasion on a Saskatchewan First Nation. Mounties are searching for a third suspect.

Battlefords RCMP were called to the Saulteaux First Nation on Tuesday around 6 a.m. for a stabbing complaint. Responding officers found a man with serious injuries.

While they were investigating the stabbing, Mounties received word a man was at the Battleford’s Union Hospital with a gunshot wound.

The investigation found both men had been at a residence on the First Nation when three masked men broke into the home, shooting one man in the back and attacking the second man with edged weapons.
