Fire crews extinguish rural blaze north of Calgary

CALGARY – Firefighters were able to extinguish a blaze that sparked north of Calgary near CrossIron Mills on Friday.

The fire started at a workshop on Dwight McLellan Trail and Range Road 293, around 10:30 a.m.

Firefighters say the rural building was engulfed in flames when they arrived, generating heavy smoke.

No injuries were reported.
