CALGARY – Police are investigating an early morning stabbing on Monday that killed one man.
Emergency crews were called to the 5300 block of 5th Avenue S.E. around 7:15 a.m. by a driver who spotted the victim lying on the road.
When they arrived, EMS found a man in his mid-30s suffering from a stab wound.
He was transported to the Peter Lougheed Centre in critical, life-threatening condition – but later succumbed to his injuries.
Police aren’t sure if the stabbing happened in that location, or elsewhere.
The Homicide Unit has been in to investigate.
